Key Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot cable systems.
• Prior experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
• Complete work orders and obtain proper signatures for accurate billing.
• Ensure all installations meet Protreon’s quality standards.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch following company procedures.
• Assist with managing workflow and handling overflow tasks as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
• Perform quality control inspections of installations.
• Train and mentor new technicians when necessary.
• Operate personal vehicles while maintaining safe driving practices.
• Install High-Speed Data (HSD), cable, and phone services as specified in work orders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.
• Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled appointments.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Own a truck or van equipped with a ladder rack and necessary tools (meters may be available for lease).
• Ability to lift and manage a 28’ ladder (50-75 lbs.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Strong ability to interpret technical instructions in both written and diagram form.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work independently following written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.


Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in cable installation and telecommunications is preferred, but requirements may vary depending on specific job duties.
• Proven ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, and make informed decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
